trait ActorModule extends AnyRef

Helpers to define Guice Modules that define Actor bindings.

This uses InjectedActorFactory with Guice to generate new ActorRefs using a ActorRefFactory that is provided by the client. This will be safe but may be less than ideal in some cases.

Bind an actor type as a singleton actor.

Bind an actor type as a singleton actor.

This method is lazy - the actor will be generated the first time it is requested.

    T

    The Actor type to bind.

  7. def bindStaticActor[T <: Actor with InjectableActor](ref: ActorRef)(implicit arg0: Manifest[T]): Unit

    Bind a static actor.

    Bind a static actor.

BEWARE: DANGEROUS. This is extremely useful in testing but should not be used in production unless you really know what you're doing.

In particular, this implies that the ActorSystem has been initialised and you have created actors outside Guice. You are probably looking for bindSingletonActor above.

    T

    The Actor type to bind.

    ref

The ActorRef to bind. This can not be typechecked to ensure it is actually the type you provided as T.
